LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The Michigan Wolverines were present at the Rose Bowl media day event on Saturday morning in Pasadena before making their way to Inglewood for 15 minutes of open practice at SoFi Stadium.

Practice was originally set for Dignity Health Sports Park, but moved due to weather concerns. Instead, the team was able to continue its Rose Bowl preparations in one of the most state-of-the-art venues in the world. After practicing in shells on Friday, the team was in shorts and helmets getting drill work in during the open part of practice.

The players have continued to take to the teaching and the practice schedule of head coach Jim Harbaugh, who has dialed back the physicality over the last few weeks to focus on fundamentals and film work.

“I really don’t have to preach,” Harbaugh said during his media day press conference. “So much of it is self-motivated. There’s so many — they’ve thought about this, planned for this, worked for this, and yeah, getting locked, cocked and ready to rock, they are locked in and ready to roll.

“The choices that our guys have made, coaches have made it just be about this game. A one-track mind. Wake up and do everything in your power to dominate that day. Go to bed at night, wake up the next day, see if you can’t dominate that day.

“That’s really worked for us. That mindset of a one-track mind is in a lot of ways what has gotten us here.”

TheWolverine.com’s Anthony Broome and Clayton Sayfie discussed the takeaways from the two events on Saturday, in addition to the vibe with Michigan and what we have learned over the last few days in Los Angeles. Watch the full video using the player above or on our YouTube channel.
