Michigan football heads to Big Ten Football Media Days in Indianapolis this week to unofficially kick off the 2023 season. Head coach Jim Harbaugh will be joined by a trio of players in senior running back Blake Corum, senior defensive tackle Kris Jenkins and graduate defensive back Mike Sainristil.

There will be some revelations and storylines to pull out of the two-day event, mainly with Michigan’s session set for Thursday, July 27.

The Wolverine’s staff will be on-site from Lucas Oil Stadium this week, site of Michigan’s two-straight Big Ten title wins. But before we head down to Indy, Anthony Broome and Clayton Sayfie discussed some of the biggest questions on the docket heading into the event.

Perhaps the biggest is how the Wolverines will stay hungry after winning a pair of Big Ten titles over the last two years and needing to find a way to get over the hump in pursuit of a national title.

“You rest on your culture, you rest on the process that got you there,” Broome said during the broadcast. “But when you’re trying to continue to climb the ladder as a team that can compete for a national title, what do you add or what do you switch up to put yourself over the hump? I’m really interested in hearing from those three guys and what Jim Harbaugh and the coaching staff have done to change things up a little bit and add that next level to the climb, so to speak.”

Sayfie replied: “What’s different about this team with the culture is kind of shaping into because as Jim Harbaugh said when we talked to him at Wayne State earlier in June at that satellite camp, he said a lot can happen over the summer. And that’s true in that a lot of guys will emerge. You know, different guys will position themselves well coming into fall camp or maybe a guy makes a move on the depth chart. Maybe somebody else falls behind. That can probably be pretty apparent in those first few days of fall camp.”

The Monday night live show with Broome, Sayfie and Chris Balas broadcasts each week at 6 p.m. ET on our YouTube channel with the replay available after and in all feeds wherever podcasts are consumed.
