Wolverine TV: Aidan Hutchinson, Michigan players speak from Pro Day
Michigan football held its pro day for NFL teams and scouts on Friday in Ann Arbor. This was one final showcase for the Wolverines’ pro hopefuls before next month’s draft. However, it was met with negative news to start the day.
Pass rusher David Ojabo suffered a non-contact lower-body injury during drills on Friday morning. He was spotted leaving Schembechler Hall on crutches with a walking boot and a wrap on his left leg. It is unknown at this time what the severity of his injury might be.
Michigan made five prospects available to the media on Friday, headlined by potential No. 1 overall pick Aidan Hutchinson. Hutchinson went through the bench press, which he opted out of at the NFL Combine. He put him 28 reps of 225 pounds.
Hutchinson also revealed the pre-draft process is all but set for him. With workouts behind him, he has visits set with teams inside the top five. He did not reveal specific plans, but the Jacksonville Jaguars, Detroit Lions, Houston Texans, New York Jets and New York Giants are the five picking at the top of the draft.
