Kickoff time revealed for Michigan football vs. Purdue
The Michigan Wolverines are off this week, but the kickoff time for the next contest vs. Purdue on Nov. 4 was revealed Monday, set for 7:30 p.m. on NBC. In the summer, it was reported that NBC had Michigan/Purdue on its wishlist as a night game and the network got its wish.
Purdue is 2-5 in its first season under head coach Ryan Walters with wins over Virginia Tech and Illinois and losses to Fresno State, Syracuse, Wisconsin, Iowa and Ohio State. Michigan and Purdue met in last season’s Big Ten Championship game in Indianapolis, a 43-22 win for the Wolverines.
Michigan leads the all-time series against the Boilermakers with a 46-14 record and hold a five-game win streak in the series. U-M has played Purdue twice since 2015, a 28-10 win in West Lafayette in 2017 and last year’s Big Ten Championship.

The Wolverines are 8-0 and coming off of a rivalry win at Michigan State, beating the Spartans 49-0. Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh weighed in on how his team performed in its most recent win at Michigan State:
Our guys really had a single mindset of get prepared, beat State. That was pretty much—if anyone around the building wanted to talk about anything else, they didn’t want to. They wanted to just talk about the game, preparation and practice. Get ready and execute to the—I thought they played their best. Got a little saying around here, what you do speaks so loud they can’t even hear what you’re saying. I think our guys did a tremendous job of just taking it one play at a time.
They were a real buzzsaw. Played really great football. There’s been stuff, there’s been attempts to diminish the team in a lot of ways. Starting with the easy schedule, it’s too easy of a schedule, you guys aren’t very good, that kind of thing. They just play and they’ll do that again today. We’ll move on to the next one with humble hearts. It’s a heckuva group and I just congratulate them for—their focus was laser-like. Stayed strong, focused. Just on a mission.
With the Purdue time now official, all but one of Michigan’s remaining games have kick times set. Games against Penn State and Ohio State will kick off at noon in Happy Valley and Ann Arbor, respectively, and be broadcast via Fox. The lone game without a designation is the Nov. 18 trip to Maryland. Kick-time announcements typically come 12 days ahead of the scheduled date, there are 6-day windows, too. We will find out when the Maryland game kicks soon enough.
