Former Michigan defensive end Rashan Gary had quite the day in a 29-22 win over the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving Day. The Lions haven’t won on Thanksgiving since 2016 despite hosting a game on the holiday each season. Gary had 3 sacks and was honored with the game ball from head coach Matt LaFleur. His 3 sacks marked a career high. His previous best in a game was 2, which he reached three times.

Gary tore his ACL against the Lions last season and was able to have this redemption moment Sunday. He was emotional after receiving the game ball.

Michigan football head coach Jim Harbaugh is currently suspended for one more regular season game after an unprecedented ruling by the Big Ten. It’s not expected to have an impact on NFL teams’ interest in him, however.

From On3:

As Michigan prepares for The Game against Ohio State — without head coach Jim Harbaugh due to suspension — the conversation will soon change to what’s next for Harbaugh. He flirted with the NFL over the last two offseasons, and considering he’s preparing to miss his sixth game of the year due to a second suspension, it’s worth wondering if that’ll happen again.

At the onset of the NCAA’s sign-stealing investigation, reports indicated the NFL might not be a “safe harbor” for Harbaugh to avoid NCAA discipline in light of the allegations against Michigan and former analyst Connor Stalions. It appears that could be changing, though, according to FOX’s Jay Glazer.

On FOX NFL Kickoff on Thursday, Glazer said he’s noticed a shift in teams’ mindsets and doesn’t think the issues at Michigan will be an issue for Harbaugh if he wants to come back to the league.

Michigan junior quarterback J.J. McCarthy had a legendary performance against Ohio State in a 45-23 win last season.

It’s 11-0 vs. 11-0 when Michigan takes on Ohio State Saturday, in the 13th-ever meeting between both undefeateds.

“Coach Moore has a good relationship with me. I’ve been talking to him a lot and some of the assistant offensive line coaches, too. He’s just been telling me that they like me and want to get me there for a visit.”
