Michigan football has national title aspirations, but in order to do so will have to find a way to get through its 2023 slate mostly unscathed. It will be hard to go undefeated again, so is there somewhere on the schedule that could lend itself to a trap game?

John Borton and Tom Crawford discussed that in this week’s live show. We assume that the game against Penn State will be a tough one on the road, but the Big Ten East showdown likely does not fall under a trap game label.

“I think that Maryland is still a very vulnerable game,” Crawford said. “But I think another game at that level… Matt Rhule is coaching at Nebraska now. You’re dealing with something…it’s the first road game in a tough environment. Even tougher at night. It was a root canal of a game [in 2021]. Matt Rhule loves the 3-3-5 defense, so I will say that. That would be the other one and you don’t know what you’re dealing with.”
