The Michigan Wolverines came out of a Week 10 win over the Purdue Boilermakers with a 9-0 record and a 41-13 win on their resume. As a result, Michigan stays at No. 2 in this week’s updated AP Poll.

Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State, Florida State, Washington, Oregon, Texas, Alabama, Penn State and Ole Miss are the top ten in this week’s rankings. Oklahoma fell seven spots after a loss to Oklahoma State on Saturday.

Michigan, Ohio State and Penn State are the only teams ranked out of the Big Ten Conference, which is no surprise at this point considering the conference has made a habit of cannibalizing itself throughout the year. The Wolverines will head to Happy Valley for a showdown with Penn State on Nov. 11 before hosting the Ohio State Buckeyes on Nov. 25 to close out the regular season.

The Athletic’s Nicole Auerbach has Michigan as her No. 1 team in the land after this weekend and explain what comes next.

“The task gets much taller next week, as Michigan finally plays a ranked opponent in Penn State on the road,” Auerbach wrote. “Up next is the three-game gauntlet of a season, and it comes amid league-wide frustrations about Michigan’s alleged scouting and sign-stealing scheme. Officials in Ann Arbor and elsewhere are expecting clarity in the coming days; we’ll soon find out if first-year commissioner Tony Petitti takes action to punish Michigan — and whether that can derail what looks like a national championship-caliber team.”
