It's silly season in college football. Some, like Michigan Wolverines football, are playing for a conference championship this weekend. Others are in the midst of firing and hiring coaches. On Dec. 4, the NCAA transfer portal will open through Jan. 3, and hundreds, if not thousands, of athletes will test the waters. Below, we look at the top four positions of need for Michigan with a week until the portal opens, keeping in mind that much will change between now and the Wolverines' season, which could end Jan. 8 in Houston. U-M players, of course, will have decisions to make, on to stay or go to the NFL or another school.
