Tweets Of The Day

According to a screenshot that was shared online, Michigan junior defensive back Will Johnson tweeted the eyeball emojis in response to Keon Sabb transferring to Alabama, before deleting it. That alone sparked some wishful thinking from Alabama fans, believing that there was a chance that Johnson would transfer south. His father Deon, though, put the baseless rumors to bed, telling TheWolverine.com’s EJ Holland that they were fabricated and baseless.

Johnson was one of Michigan’s top players last season and figures to be one of the nation’s best this all.

His season started out slow due to a leg injury, with Johnson sitting out the majority of non-conference play to ease into action as he got healthier. He registered 27 tackles, 1 stop for loss and 4 interceptions, all of which were crucial. The consensus first-team All-Big Ten standout had a pick-six on the second play of the game in a 52-10 win at Minnesota Oct. 7, an early interception while guarding star wideout Marvin Harrison Jr. to set the tone against Ohio State Nov. 25 and one to start off the second half of the national championship game against Washington, helping earn him defensive MVP honors.

The College Football Playoff will go with its 12-team model for 2024 and 2025, but there are still ongoing discussions about expansion for 2026 and beyond.

“After conclusion of CFP meetings in Dallas, [American Athletic Conference commissioner] Mike Aresco tells me, ’14 teams is a possibility’ for 2026 and beyond,” On3’s Eric Prisbell reported. “That scenario was discussed in today’s meetings. The CFP will include 12 teams each of the next two season.”

Missouri football tweeted out Michigan’s famous phrase coined by legendary former coach Bo Schembechler, ‘The Team, The Team, The Team.’ They’re not the only ones to adopt the great saying, but Michigan made sure the world knows where it originated — Ann Arbor.

Quote Of The Day

“The thing I hear from scouts is, great arm strength, guy only lost one game in two years of college football, which is very impressive no matter if you want to give wins to the quarterback or not. And then it’s the ability to get better. The athletic potential is through the roof. He’s a good mover. He’s got room to grow into that frame — he’s 6-3, probably 205 pounds. He’s got room to get bigger and stronger.”
