Michigan football will play both USC and UCLA in 2024, locations revealed
The Michigan Wolverines will get a pair of new conference foes in the Big Ten with USC and UCLA joining in 2024, and both of them will be on the schedule next season. Brett McMurphy of Action Network was the first to report the news on Thursday ahead of the 2024-25 Big Ten schedule release.
No times or dates have been made available yet, but Michigan will head to USC for its first road game against the Trojans since 1957. The last 7 meetings and 8 of 10 overall in series history have taken place at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. USC leads the all-time series by a 6-4 margin.
The UCLA Bruins will head to Ann Arbor for a tilt with the Wolverines in 2024, as well. It will be the first time the two programs have played since the 2000 season. Michigan leads the all-time series 8-3.
Also tucked away in the report from McMurphy is the Wisconsin Badgers and head coach Luke Fickell making a trip to the Big House.

The full schedule announcement for the 2024 and 2025 seasons is coming Thursday afternoon, which includes a “Flex Protect” model that does away with divisions, per media reports.
“The Big Ten will announce its new football scheduling model Thursday, and a ‘Flex Protect’ model in which league members have different numbers of permanent annual opponents is the frontrunner, several league sources involved in the decision-making process told The Athletic,” Nicole Auerbach wrote on Wednesday.
“As the name indicates, the Flex Protect concept is a flexible rivalry scheduling model that would allow schools to play up to three protected annual opponents while cycling through the rest of the league’s schools over multiple years. The new model will begin when the Big Ten grows to 16 members in 2024, officially ending its divisional era. The Big Ten will continue to play nine conference games.”
