Michigan football's spot in Week 12 AP Poll revealed
The Michigan Wolverines are 10-0 coming off of a 24-15 win at Penn State on Saturday in the midst of the most important stretch of the 2023 season. The latest Associated Press poll released Sunday still has U-M ranked as the No. 2 team in the land behind the top-ranked Georgia Bulldogs.
Michigan, Ohio State and Penn State are the only teams ranked out of the Big Ten Conference, which is no surprise at this point considering the conference has made a habit of cannibalizing itself throughout the year. Iowa, which clinched a share of the Big Ten West Title with a 22-0 victory over Rutgers, is the first team receiving votes but outside the top 25.
Michigan will close out the regular season with a rivalry clash against the Ohio State Buckeyes Nov. 25.

Sherrone Moore weighs in on postgame reaction
Yeah, I think it was all built up. Was thinking about our players and how hard they’ve worked through all thus craziness and all the situations that’s been going on. How hard they have worked and the realization of that coming to fruition and watching it come to fruition against a great football team. That football team is really good. Defensively, offensively, special teams. In all three phases. They’re as elite as they come. For us to come in this environment and win was huge. Just thinking about coach, man, love that man with all my heart. Such a great person, great human, great coach. Just wanted to do it for him.
What’s next for Michigan football?
Michigan heads to Maryland on Saturday afternoon for a 12 p.m. ET kick on FOX in its road finale. Head coach Jim Harbaugh’s status is still up in the air with a hearing set for Friday that could determine if he is able to return early from his Big Ten-imposed three-game suspension to end the regular season.
