“I just received notice that Greg Scruggs has resigned his position, effective immediately. I am unable to comment further as this is a University matter,” Moore said in a release.
It comes days after Ann Arbor police said that Scruggs was arrested just before 3 a.m. on Saturday.

Scruggs, 33, came to Michigan from Luke Fickell’s staff at Wisconsin, where he worked as the defensive line coach in 2023. Prior to that, he served as a director of player development and defensive line coach at Cincinnati before a year in the NFL as an assistant defensive line coach with the New York Jets in 2022.
