Michigan lands commitment from Consensus four-star 2024 TE Hogan Hansen
Michigan has made another statement on the recruiting trail.
The Wolverines picked up a commitment from Bellevue (Wash.) High tight end Hogan Hansen on Thursday afternoon.
Hansen picked Michigan over offers from Arkansas,Auburn, Florida,Miami, Oregon, Penn State, Stanford, Washington and others.
He announced his pledge via social media.
“First and foremost, I’d like to thank God for giving me the opportunity to play at the next level,” Hansen said via Twitter. “Secondly, I’d like to thank my family for all the love and support they have given me throughout this journey. Lastly, I’d like to thank my teammates and coaches at Bellevue as well as Tracy Ford, Marcus Griffin and the FSP program for continuing to push me to become the player I am today. With that being said, I’m excited to stay a Wolverine and announce my commitment to the University of Michigan. Go Blue.”
Hansen made an unofficial visit to Michigan this fall for the win over Penn State. It was there where Hansen really fell in love with the program, and the Wolverines began to trend on the On3 Prediction Machine.

At 6-foot-5, 200 pounds, Hansen is the first tight end to commit to Michigan in the 2024 class.
Hansen is ranked as the No. 17 tight end and No. 280 overall prospect nationally next cycle, per the On3 Consensus. He is also ranked as the No. 11 overall recruit in the state of Washington.
Hansen is the fourth commit in Michigan’s 2024 recruiting class, which also features On300 Nashville (Tenn.) Ensworth linebacker Mason Curtis, On300 Avon (Ohio) High offensive lineman Luke Hamilton and rising Wallingford (Conn.) Choate Rosemary Hall defensive lineman Manuel Beigel, who is originally from Germany.
Hansen has an On3 NIL Valuation of $13.5K with 2.9K followers across all platforms. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
