Michigan lands commitment from key TE target Zack Marshall
Michigan has scored another win on the recruiting trail.
Carlsbad (Calif.) High tight end Zack Marshall gave the Wolverines a verbal commitment on Saturday afternoon. A three-star prospect, Marshall picked U-M over offers from Arizona, Cal, Utah, Washington State and others.
Marshall’s decision comes just a couple of weeks after Michigan hosted him for an unofficial visit at its annual BBQ at The Big House recruiting event.
“The Michigan BBQ was a great time,” Marshall said. “They really take care of their players and recruits. I’m so grateful to have received an offer to play for the amazing program. I really love the whole coaching staff and people within the organization.”
Michigan notched a commitment from four-star tight end Deakon Tonielli earlier this summer and planned on only taking one prospect at the position this cycle.
However, new Michigan tight ends coach Grant Newsome brought Marshall in for a workout and was extremely impressed with his performance. In fact, Marshall earned an offer before leaving Ann Arbor.
