Michigan lands commitment from On300 DB Brody Jennings
Michigan has landed a big commitment on the recruiting trail.
The Wolverines earned a verbal pledge from On300 2026 Jacksonville (Fla.) Mandarin cornerback Brody Jennings. The Sunshine State prospects picked U-M over offers from Florida, Kentucky, Miami, Ole Miss, SMU, Texas A&M and others.
“Michigan is a big time team so I’m excited,” Jennings said. “I really like the school.”
Jennings’ decision came after an unofficial visit to Michigan over the weekend for the annual BBQ at The Big House. It was there where Jennings had an opportunity to bond with new Michigan secondary coach LaMar Morgan and head coach Sherrone Moore.
Michigan had one of the best defenses in college football last and consistently puts defensive backs in the NFL.
And that definitely moved the needle for Jennings.
“(Michigan) has a really good group of defensive backs, and I know that I would get developed there,” Jennings said. “There’s a lot of history behind the school. The defensive backs were developed right last year and they played really well. They have a lot of good coaching.”
Jennings is the younger brother of former Michigan linebacker commit Branden Jennings, who is now at Mississippi State.
