Michigan lands commitment from On300 OL Blake Frazier
Michigan has scored a huge commitment on the recruiting trail.
On300 Austin (Texas) Vandegrift offensive lineman Blake Frazier sided with U-M on Sunday, picking the Wolverines over fellow finalists Clemson, Florida, LSU and Texas.
“Coach (Sherrone) Moore obviously knows what he’s talking about,” Frazier said. “As an offensive lineman, it’s really hard to shy away from a school that has gone back-to-back in creating the best offensive line in the country. As far as wanting to go to the NFL, there doesn’t seem to be a lot of places better than Michigan right now.”
Frazier’s decision comes a month after he spent multiple days in Ann Arbor for an unofficial visit.
It was there where Michigan offensive line coach Sherrone Moore and company were really able to win him over.
“It was the closest visit I’ve had to an official visit,” Frazier said. “We got there at 4:00 on Friday and flew out at 8:30 on Monday. We were there the entirety of the weekend. I got to watch the tail end of Friday’s practice and the entirety of Sunday’s practice. I also got to spend an unreal amount of time with all the coaches, specifically with Coach Moore and Albert Karschnia. That was a fun time. They showed me I’m a priority. It was no doubt an amazing visit.”

Michigan prepared to offer No. 1 recruit $10.5M over 4 years
Frazier is the son of former Michigan offensive lineman Steve Frazier, who was part of the 1997 national championship team and snapped for future Hall of Fame quarterback Tom Brady.
At 6-foot-5, 270 pounds, Frazier is ranked as the No. 25 offensive tackle and No. 273 overall recruit nationally, per the On3 Industry Rankings. He is also ranked as the No. 48 overall prospect in the state of Texas.
Frazier has an On3 NIL Valuation of $34K with 4.3K followers across all platforms. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
