Michigan head football coach Jim Harbaugh has a new trophy in his office, one he may or may not have requested from graduate linebacker Michael Barrett. Barrett broke his helmet in the Maryland game, and Harbaugh now has it as a piece of memorabilia along with hundreds of others in his office.

“Whenever I have a player that breaks a helmet, they hit somebody so hard they break a helmet, I use it as a trophy,” Harbaugh said. “Mike Barrett was kind enough to give me that. I mean, look at the bend there.

“That’s football right there!”

Sherrone Moore, Michigan’s offensive coordinator and line coach, took over as interim head coach for four games this season. He served in his typical role in seven and was suspended for one. The program shared their appreciation for him after he led the Maize and Blue on game day for the last three victories.

Michigan running back commit Jordan Marshall has been named Mr. Ohio.

Michigan graduate center Drake Nugent has had an outstanding season, based on the following PFF statistics:

As he transitions back to his typical duties as he recovers from offseason heart surgery Michigan basketball head coach Juwan Howard will now be designated as an assistant coach. Phil Martelli will continue to serve as interim head coach.

“Juwan returned in Bahamas
“With Juwan continuing his transition back, he will be designated as an assistant, resulting in Colin moving away from a coaching role
“Phil continue to serve as the interim head coach.”

Quote Of The Day

“It was fun celebrating with everyone in the stadium. It was kind of a cool feeling like we were sharing that win with everyone. It was really great. The stadium was electric; everyone was going crazy. The team just brought it from the beginning and had full control from start to finish, so it was really fun to watch.”
