Michigan moved up six spots from No. 23 to No. 17 overall in the 2025 On3 Industry National Team Recruiting Rankings following the commitment of Nate Marshall on Monday morning.

The Top 100 EDGE out of Oak Park (Ill.) Fenwick picked Michigan over offers from Alabama, Auburn, Miami, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Tennessee, Texas, USC and a slew of other major programs.

“I really like Michigan,” Marshall said. “I like how they utilize their defensive line and have their defensive ends play out of a two-point stance. I like playing out of a two-point stance because you’re able to visualize more. They’ve also produced a lot of great players.”

As Marshall alluded to, Michigan has become EDGE U over the last few years.

The Wolverines have produced multiple NFL Draft picks at the position, including the likes of Aidan Hutchinson and David Ojabo. And that production certainly has Marshall’s attention.

“They have had guys like Aidan Hutchinson and more,” Marshall said. “I really like the production. It tells me that they know what they are doing and that I can trust them.”
