The Michigan Wolverines have four potential first-round picks in Indianapolis this week for the annual NFL Combine, but none are expected to participate in on-field drills at the scouting event.

Defensive tackles Mason Graham and Kenneth Grant, cornerback Will Johnson and tight end Colston Loveland will not do on-field workouts at Lucas Oil Stadium, per media reports. NFL Network’s Peter Schrager reported on Graham’s status. At the same time, his colleague Ian Rapoport – also the subject of his own storyline this weeksaid an MRI during medical testing showed a hamstring strain for Grant.

Grant had planned to do all workouts this week, and pushed to still perform in the event according to reports out of Indy.

“I feel better, more agile, faster, but a lot stronger,” Grant said during his media session on Wednesday. “[I’m trying] to get in that 4.9 or 4.8 [range], somewhere around there. I’m looking forward to that challenge,” he said of his projected 40-yard dash time. “I think I’m more athletic than some of these guys, pretty good athletes in this class, but, I’m intelligent, know a lot of football, so I think that’s what stands out for me.”

ESPN’s Jordan Reid revealed that Johnson will not do drillwork, while Loveland is still recovering from offseason shoulder surgery. His doctor recently wrote to all 32 NFL teams stating he is expected to be ready for minicamp.

As far as Michigan’s other combine attendees go, EDGE Josaiah Stewart is set to perform in workouts on Thursday afternoon in Indianapolis. Running backs Kalel Mullings and Donovan Edwards will do media interviews and medical testing on Friday in Indianapolis before Saturday workouts. Offensive tackle Myles Hinton will do his interviews and testing on Saturday and perform in workouts on Sunday.

The 2025 NFL Draft is set for April 24-26 from Green Bay, Wisconsin. Round one will be held on Thursday, before rounds two and three on Friday evening. The event concludes Saturday with the fourth through seventh rounds.
