Michigan Wolverines football is set to take on Fresno State to open the 2024 season Saturday night at The Big House. Follow along below for pregame observations and updates from The Big House.

Pregame observations: Michigan vs. Fresno State

• 7:24 p.m. — Sherrone Moore has announced senior Davis Warren Michigan’s starting quarterback. Alex Orji “will play a lot, too,” per Moore.

• 7:21 p.m. — Sherrone Moore announces Michigan’s starting OL left to right. Myles Hinton, Josh Priebe, Dom Giudice, Gio El-Hadi and Evan Link. Center Greg Crippen “will play tonight, as well.”

• 7:07 p.m. — To conclude warmups, kicker Dominic Zvada made 33- and 48-yard field goals. Semaj Morgan took the final punt and it appears he will be the returner for the game. Michigan is headed back into the locker room for the final time before it kicks off the 2024 season.

• 7:03 p.m. — Michigan has begun its team period of warmups, with Davis Warren taking the first snap at quarterback.

• 6:47 p.m. — Michigan’s offensive linemen have started warmups.

• 6:42 p.m. — Centers and quarterbacks are snapping — Davis Warren with Dominick Giudice, Alex Orji with Greg Crippen

• 6:37 p.m. — Michigan’s quarterbacks have hit the field for warmups.

• 6:25 p.m. — In warmups, the Michigan punt returners are a trio of wide receivers: sophomore Semaj Morgan, junior Tyler Morris and freshman I’Marion Stewart. The kick returners are senior running back Tavierre DUnlap, freshman running back Jordan Marshall, graduate running back Kalel Mullings and graduate cornerback Keshaun Harris.

• 5:34 p.m. — Michigan football has released its availability report for Saturday night’s game. Three players are out: senior safety Rod Moore, graduate quarterback Jack Tuttle and senior wide receiver Joe Taylor.

• 5:34 p.m. — Michigan’s head coach heads out to the field upon arrival.
