Moore discussed Michigan getting out of College Park with a narrow victory.

“That’s a good football team we just faced,” the Michigan coach said. “We knew that going in. We knew it was going to be a fight, regardless. We got up and it’s not like our kids let up. Just their kids fought back. They did a really good job. But I thought our guys responded well at the right times. Our defense stepped up in key situations, our offense when we needed it to. It helped us win that game.”

With head coach Jim Harbaugh out during games due to a Big Ten imposed suspension, Moore has had another week to prepare for the setup in this game. He said the preparation was the same as a week ago at Penn State.

“Nothing we did differently than last week,” he noted. “A routine we don’t really like but something we have to deal with on game day. During the week it’s like normal. Just trying to operate at a high level.”

Moore will lead Michigan into battle against Ohio State next weekend, after helming the squad during its 1,000th all time victory this weekend. It hasn’t hit him yet that he will be the guy in charge in ‘The Game.’

“Really the only thing that’s hit me is that my mom is coming in next week and is probably going to yell at me for cussing again,” Moore said. “Besides that. … not it hasn’t. Just try to take it a step at a time. Daughter’s birthday today. She’s here, going to go home and celebrate with her. That’s the things I’m thinking about right now. We’ll prepare our tails off for that game starting tomorrow, bright and early. So probably won’t’ sleep a lot, which is all right. Kind of what we do anyway. But it has not really hit me and probably will as the week goes.”
