Only a few days remain until Michigan’s annual BBQ at The Big House this weekend. The current visitors list features 13 prospects in the 2025 and 2026 recruiting classes ranked in the Top 100 nationally, including three commits.

The Wolverine details the pledges and also examines where U-M stands with the priority targets, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM), the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.

DL Nate Marshall, Oak Park (Ill.) Fenwick, 2025

Industry Ranking: No. 54 Overall, No. 5 Defensive Lineman, No. 3 in Illinois
On3 Ranking: No. 120 Overall, No. 12 Defensive Lineman, No. 4 in Illinois
RPM: Michigan Commit
Past U-M Visits: 6/21/24, 4/20/24, 11/25/23, 7/30/23

Nate Marshall made a surprise commitment to Michigan immediately following the April spring game, where he and his family spent a couple of days in Ann Arbor. Marshall came back for his official visit on Victors Weekend, which happened after his official visit to Auburn. The Tigers are pushing to flip the Chicagoland pass rusher, but confidence is waning for that scenario to transpire. Defensive line coach Lou Esposito, defensive coordinator Don Martindale, and head coach Sherrone Moore were critical in landing Marshall.

WR Jerome Myles, West Jordan (Utah) Corner Canyon, 2025

Industry Ranking: No. 58 Overall, No. 10 Wide Receiver, No. 1 in Utah
On3 Ranking: No. 142 Overall, No. 18 Wide Receiver, No. 1 in Utah
RPM: Utah (90.2%), Texas A&M (3.9%), Ole Miss (3.3%), Michigan (<1%)
Past U-M Visits: N/A

Michigan has two receiver commits this cycle, but assistant coach Ron Bellamy is gunning for a pair of Top 100 playmakers who are both showing up for the barbecue, including Jerome Myles, who recently backed out of his pledge with Ole Miss. The Wolverines are in a group of five alongside Utah, Texas A&M, LSU, and Penn State, which Myles is eyeing closely. The Utes are the heavy favorite on the RPM, and Myles has already made an official visit to College Station. This weekend will be an unofficial for Myles as U-M will look towards bringing him back this fall.

WR Andrew Marsh, Katy (Tex.) Jordan, 2025

Industry Ranking: No. 62 Overall, No. 11 Wide Receiver, No. 13 in Texas
On3 Ranking: No. 167 Overall, No. 24 Wide Receiver, No. 27 in Texas
RPM: Michigan (86.6%), Texas (2.8%), USC (2.1%), Oklahoma (1.5%)
Past U-M Visits: 6/21/24, 6/4/24, 7/30/23, 5/31/23

Andrew Marsh is the other Top 100 wide receiver expected to be at Michigan this weekend. It’ll be Marsh’s third time on campus this summer following an unofficial visit in early June and then an official less than three weeks later. His relationship with Bellamy dates back well over a year, and they’ve been very close since then. On3 Predictions were entered for Marsh to commit to the Wolverines after Victors Weekend and ahead of his planned August commitment timeline. Washington and Kentucky are also on the docket to host Marsh before he shuts down his recruitment.

TE Andrew Olesh, Center Valley (Pa.) Southern Lehigh, 2025

Industry Ranking: No. 97 Overall, No. 3 Tight End, No. 4 in Pennsylvania
On3 Ranking: No. 67 Overall, No. 3 Tight End, No. 3 in Pennsylvania
RPM: Michigan Commit
Past U-M Visits: 6/21/24, 4/20/24

Andrew Olesh chose Michigan over finalists Alabama, Florida, and Penn State earlier this month. As a native of Pennsylvania, Olesh was considered to be a lean to stay in-state and play for the Nittany Lions. But the Wolverines and tight ends coach Steve Casula worked tirelessly throughout the offseason to enter contention status and close things out after Olesh took an official visit over Victors Weekend.

RB Savion Hiter, Mineral (Va.) Woodberry Forest, 2026

Industry Ranking: No. 32 Overall, No. 2 Running Back, No. 1 in Virginia
On3 Ranking: No. 45 Overall, No. 4 Running Back, No. 2 in Virginia
RPM: Virginia (19.5%), Ohio State (17.1%), Georgia (14.6%), Michigan (12.2%)
Past U-M Visits: 4/18/24

Michigan running back coach Tony Alford snagged two ballcarrier commits this cycle – On300 Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy’s Donovan Johnson and four-star Marrero (La.) Archbishop Shaw’s Jasper Parker. Now, his focus has transitioned to the next cycle, where three tailbacks in the Top 100 are coming in for the barbecue. Savion Hiter‘s planned return comes amid his spring trip, where he got further face-to-face time with Alford, met Moore, and got acclimated to the program. Alford recruited Hiter while coaching in Columbus, so the preexisting relationship carried over swiftly to Ann Arbor.

RB Javian Osborne, Forney (Tex.) High, 2026

Industry Ranking: No. 58 Overall, No. 6 Running Back, No. 6 in Texas
On3 Ranking: No. 23 Overall, No. 1 Running Back, No. 2 in Texas
RPM: Texas (86.4%), Oklahoma (4.8%), Baylor (3.1%), Michigan (<1%)
Past U-M Visits: N/A

Javian Osborne will learn everything Michigan offers for the first time this weekend. He was the first 2026 running back that the Wolverines offered, which occurred before Alford was brought onto Moore’s staff. Special teams coordinator JB Brown, who has a litany of recruiting ties in the state of Texas, offered Osborne during the winter contact period. Last season, Osborne rushed for 2,231 yards and 39 touchdowns. His knowledge of U-M’s running back production is strong because he closely monitored Blake Corum.

OL Tyler Merrill, Mechanicsburg (Pa.) Cumberland Valley, 2026

Industry Ranking: No. 60 Overall, No. 5 Interior Offensive Lineman, No. 2 in Pennsylvania
On3 Ranking: No. 76 Overall, No. 6 Interior Offensive Lineman, No. 2 in Pennsylvania
RPM: Penn State (38.8%), Michigan (13.0%), Notre Dame (11.1%), Syracuse (6.3%)
Past U-M Visits: 4/7/24, 6/14/23

Tyler Merrill is the highest-ranked offensive lineman in the 2026 recruiting class coming to the barbecue. Several other trench maulers, who offensive line coach Grant Newsome is personally recruiting, will also participate in the festivities. Some are making return visits, like Merrill, who experienced spring camp practice in early April. Merrill’s offer was handed down from Moore in June of last year when he competed in Michigan’s Big Man Camp. Merrill is in the heart of Penn State country, and the Nittany Lions are prioritizing the in-stater, but the Wolverines stand high in his recruitment.

QB Brady Hart, Cocoa (Fla.) High, 2026

Industry Ranking: No. 87 Overall, No. 8 Quarterback, No. 14 in Florida
On3 Ranking: No. 170 Overall, No. 10 Quarterback, No. 27 in Florida
RPM: Michigan Commit
Past U-M Visits: 6/15/24

Brady Hart publicly announced his verbal commitment to Michigan just three days after visiting for the first time last month. As the first pledge for the Wolverines in the 2026 recruiting class, Hart’s return this weekend provides the perfect window to revel in a leadership role and peer recruit. As of Tuesday, there are nearly 40 2026 prospects on the visitors list, so garnering in-person connections will be essential for Hart, who will strive to do what On300 Ft. Myers (Fla.) Bishop Verot quarterback commit Carter Smith is doing with the 2025 class.

OT Leo Delaney, Charlotte (N.C.) Providence Day, 2026

Industry Ranking: No. 92 Overall, No. 9 Offensive Tackle, No. 8 in North Carolina
On3 Ranking: No. 89 Overall, No. 8 Offensive Tackle, No. 8 in North Carolina
RPM: South Carolina (29.8%), Tennessee (17.7%), Charlotte (7.9%), Michigan (6.6%)
Past U-M Visits: N/A

Two freshmen on Michigan’s roster are graduates of powerhouse Providence Day – quarterback Jadyn Davis and wide receiver Channing Goodwin. Both will surely provide an at-home feel for their former teammate, Leo Delaney, who’ll make his first-ever visit to Ann Arbor this weekend. Delaney told On3’s Chad Simmons that he’s looking forward to meeting Moore, the strength staff and connecting with more coaches. He and Newsome communicate often, and the four-star is excited to reunite with Davis and Goodwin. The Wolverines offered Delaney this past March.

WR CJ Sadler, Detroit (Mich.) Cass Tech, 2026

Industry Ranking: No. 100 Overall, No. 14 Wide Receiver, No. 1 in Michigan
On3 Ranking: No. 213 Overall, No. 30 Wide Receiver, No. 3 in Michigan
RPM: Michigan (90.6%), MSU (2.9%), Penn State (1.3%), Alabama (1.1%)
Past U-M Visits: 6/19/24, 4/20/24, 11/25/23, 3/26/23, 10/29/22, 10/15/22

CJ Sadler is the next great in-state prospect out of the Detroit area, and Michigan continues to pull out all the stops to ensure that the three-way star spends his college career close to home. Former defensive backs coach Steve Clinkscale offered Sadler before he entered the high school ranks, and now it’s Bellamy acting as lead recruiter. Sadler envisions himself as the next Travis Hunter because of his role on Cass Tech as wide receiver, cornerback, return specialist, and wildcat quarterback. This weekend will be Sadler’s first barbecue visit. He’s attended three games, spring camp practice, and a summer 7v7 event.

WR Tristan Keys, Hattiesburg (Miss.) High, 2026

Industry Ranking: No. 104 Overall, No. 16 Wide Receiver, No. 6 in Mississippi
On3 Ranking: No. 91 Overall, No. 11 Wide Receiver, No. 5 in Mississippi
RPM: Ole Miss (53.8%), LSU (16.7%), Michigan (14.3%), Jackson State (1.1%)
Past U-M Visits: N/A

Ole Miss has a commanding lead for Tristan Keys on the RPM, with LSU running in second, but Michigan will get its first crack at hosting the wide receiver this weekend. The Wolverines recently just offered Keys a couple of weeks ago.

RB Shahn Alston, Painesville (Ohio) Harvey, 2026

Industry Ranking: No. 116 Overall, No. 12 Running Back, No. 4 in Ohio
On3 Ranking: No. 85 Overall, No. 9 Running Back, No. 2 in Ohio
RPM: Akron (27.3%), Pitt (23.9%), Virginia Tech (10.7%), Purdue (8.9%)
Past U-M Visits: 3/30/24, 9/23/23

Michigan and Alford have yet to offer Shahn Alston, but that could change following the sophomore’s third appearance in Ann Arbor. Before Alston’s upcoming barbecue visit, he took in spring camp practice in late March and went to The Big House for the win over Rutgers. Alston and Alford have known each other dating back to the latter’s tenure at Ohio State. Possessing a downhill and bowling ball-type running ability, Alston is impressed with U-M’s pro-style offense and the depth at the position. At 5-foot-11, 204 pounds, Alston compiled 1,042 yards and 15 touchdowns on 128 attempts last season.

OL Greg Patrick, Portage (Mich.) Northern, 2026

Industry Ranking: No. 118 Overall, No. 7 Interior Offensive Lineman, No. 2 in Michigan
On3 Ranking: No. 74 Overall, No. 5 Interior Offensive Lineman, No. 1 in Michigan
RPM: MSU (35.9%), Notre Dame (19.8%), Michigan (16.9%)
Past U-M Visits: 5/31/24, 3/30/24, 9/23/23, 6/21/23

Like Sadler, Greg Patrick is a top in-state commodity for Michigan next cycle. The Wolverines are battling nearby MSU, the RPM leader, because of Patrick’s legacy status. His father played on the Spartans football team in the early 2000s. However, five visits to U-M after this weekend from the four-star is due to his appreciation of the team’s embracement of offensive line culture and the success the unit has garnered over the last three years. Moore and Newsome have built a solid relationship with Patrick and his family over the past year. Patrick is also a Nebraska legacy through his uncle.
