Four-star Michigan linebacker commit Jeremiah Beasley racked up five total tackles, including one for a loss, as well as two rushing touchdowns in Belleville (Mich.) High’s 65-14 district finals win last week.

The Wolverine’s Zach Libby was onsite and captured exclusive clips from the contest. Watch highlights of Beasley in the video above.

Beasley Recruitment

Beasley took an official visit to Michigan during Victor’s Weekend this past June and quickly shut down his recruitment that same month, siding with the program located less than 30 minutes away from his high school.

Michigan linebackers coach Chris Partridge made Beasley a top priority on the linebacker board once he was re-hired in February. Their relationship helped spurned the in-state to stay home at the next level.

“I like playing video games, so (Partridge) said he was going to get into video games,” Beasley previously told The Wolverine. “So that he can play with me and have fun doing that. He always asks about me and how I’m doing. It’s not even about the football side. He will ask about football. But besides that, it’s about my family, brother, mother and father.”

Beasley will enroll early in January and has been preparing himself for what’s to come by closely watching Michigan’s linebacker corp this season.

“When I did watch (the home opener against ECU), I felt like the defense played great,” Beasley said. “I considered it a shutout because of the field goal not being an offensive score, rather special teams. The way they were filling the holes. Whenever a hole was open, they always closed it. They also had a couple of TFLs, which is big for a linebacker in college football.”
