Wolverine TV: Game clips of Top 100 Georgia WR commit, Michigan flip target Nitro Tuggle
Top 100 Michigan flip target and Georgia wide receiver commit NiTareon “Nitro” Tuggle caught 7 passes for 117 yards and 1 touchdown in the 17-14 sectional championship win on Friday.
The Wolverine’s Zach Libby was onsite and captured exclusive clips from the contest. Watch highlights of Tuggle in the video above.
Tuggle Recruitment
Georgia received a commitment from Tuggle less than a month after the senior took his first-ever visit to Michigan in March.
Tuggle’s communication with wide receivers coach Ron Bellamy, who personally issued an offer on the late winter visit, never faltered after his pledge to the Bulldogs. This fall, the pair have been in talks weekly.
Bellamy was also at Nappanee (Ind.) NorthWood to see Tuggle in his playoff game during the bye week last month.
“We’ve always had a good relationship,” Tuggle told The Wolverine on Friday. “I’m still locked in (with Georgia) right now, but he’s still coming hard at me. That’s what you’re supposed to do when you’re (going after) a playmaker like me.”
Tuggle, a teammate and close of four-star Michigan cornerback commit Jo’Ziah Edmond, told The Wolverine this past Friday that plans to return to Ann Arbor for an official visit will be on the wekeend of the Ohio State game.
“The weight room is huge,” Tuggle said in early September. “That was one of the best weight rooms I’ve ever been in. The staff showed love. I talked to (head coach) Jim (Harbaugh). But Georgia came out on top.”
