Michigan surges into Top 5 in 2024 On3 Industry national team recruiting rankings
Michigan jumped to No. 5 overall in the 2024 On3 Consensus National Team Recruiting Rankings following the verbal commitment of industry Top 100 Charlotte (N.C.) Providence Day quarterback Jadyn Davis.
“All those guys (on Michigan’s staff) have been on NFL staffs — coaches in the NFL and played in the NFL,” Davis told The Wolverine. “Coach Harbaugh was a 14-year veteran. The quarterback position is the hardest position to play. If you haven’t played it, you don’t really know what it’s like, so it’s great to have Coach Harbaugh there. Michigan is a great school.”
At 6-foot, 190 pounds, Davis is ranked as the No. 26 overall prospect in the country, No. 4 quarterback nationally, and No. 1 junior in the state of North Carolina, according to the On3 Industry Rankings.
Davis has an On3 NIL Valuation of $557K with 36,000 combined followers on Instagram, TikTok and Twitter. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
Michigan 2024 Recruiting Class
Before Friday, the Wolverines were still ranked in Top 10 in the country for 2024, but are now the third Power 5 program alongside Georgia and LSU to reach double-digit commitments. The addition of Davis brought Michigan to a total score of 93.237, which sits slightly above Tennessee at 93.210, Notre Dame at 93.061, Florida State at 93.032 and South Carolina at 92.894.
