Jadyn Davis Elite 11

Charlotte (N.C.) Providence Day four-star quarterback and Michigan commit Jadyn Davis finished in the Top 11 in this year’s Elite 11 Finals. The standings were released Saturday after three straight days of competition between 12 of the top 20 quarterbacks in the On3 Industry Ranking, including Davis, who’s the first U-M pledge since JJ McCarthy to be invited to the nationally renowned showcase.

Davis would sit outside of the Top 11 on On3’s Elite 11 best performers list, conducted by On3 director of scouting and rankings Charles Power. Among the notable signal callers to be named in the On3 Top 11 were Georgia commit Dylan Raiola, Ohio State commit Air Noland, Notre Dame commit CJ Carr and Florida commit DJ Lagway.

“Michigan commit Jadyn Davis made a late push for inclusion in the Top Performers with a strong showing in 7-on-7 on Friday,” Power said. “The Wolverine pledge looked by far the best he had all week, completing 11 of 15 passes for four touchdowns. Davis showed good zip on his intermediate passes and had nice touch on a few corner routes that went for scores. The 6-foot-0.5, 190-pounder has a longer backstroke on his throwing motion that can affect the release time and accuracy on his shorter passes. He was at his best over the course of the week when he had time to set up and deliver to the middle of the field.”

Winning the Elite 11 MVP award was Alabama quarterback commit Julian Sayin.

Davis finished the multi-day outing strong Friday during the 7v7 portion where he was able to advertise his game commanding ability in a live setting. Completing 11 of his 15 attempted passes, Davis compiled four total touchdowns. His best throw came on a deep route up the seam to find 2027 DeSoto (Tex.) High wide receiver Ethan Feaster, who holds a Michigan offer, in the back of the end zone.

Day 2 of the event was Pro Day as the 20 invited quarterbacks went through a route tree of 20 passes each. The total score given to the prospects was based on accuracy with Elite 11 handing Davis a 39-point tally and the result dropped him out of the Top 11.

“It was an up and down session for Michigan commit Jadyn Davis,” Power said. “We charted him as accurate on 13 of 20 passes. His longer release led to some misses. He showed a strong arm when everything was on time, particularly on intermediate passes over the middle.”

Day 1 of the event focused on drill instruction and different area of focus that pertained to throwing mechanics and development. Power wrote that Davis’ progression was evident over the course of Wednesday which put him at No. 11 overall in the standings when the first update was released.

“Jadyn Davis showed some improvement over the course of the workout, looking more comfortable as he settled in,” Power said. “Davis spun the ball well and had some nice passes over the course of the evening. He looks to have the longest release on hand with an pronounced backstroke within his throwing motion.”

Davis is listed as the No. 33 overall prospect and No. 4 quarterback in the country, according to the On3 Industry Ranking. A weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media services. He’s also the No. 1 ranked junior in the state of North Carolina.

Davis has an On3 NIL Valuation of $587K with 49,000 combined followers on Instagram, TikTok and Twitter. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
