Michigan is coming off its first outright national championship since 1948 and will soon hit the recruiting trail to capitalize off its reign in the college football world. Right now, the Wolverines are the leader for double-digit 2025 targets, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM), the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.
The Wolverine closely examines the 16 prospects who are trending towards U-M.
Top 100 CB Dawayne Galloway, Columbus (Ohio) Marion-Franklin
On3 Ranking: No. 108 Overall, No. 13 Cornerback, No. 16 in Florida
RPM: U-M (92.5%)
The Skinny: Dawayne Galloway blew up on the recruiting trail over the fall by collecting double-digit Power 4 offers and being listed in the Top 100 nationally, per On3. Co-defensive coordinator Steve Clinkscale offered Galloway in September after the junior competed in a June camp and later returned for the Purdue game in November.
On300 CB Alex Graham, Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 108 Overall, No. 13 Cornerback, No. 16 in Florida
RPM: U-M (92.5%)
The Skinny: Alex Graham was born and raised in Detroit, where he attended powerhouse Cass Tech for two years before transferring to IMG Academy for his junior season. Graham’s mother is a graduate of Michigan and has been to Ann Arbor on eight unofficial visits, most recently for the Ohio State game in late November.
Four-Star QB Husan Longstreet, Corona (Calif.) Centennial
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 135 Overall, No. 8 Quarterback, No. 13 in California
RPM: U-M (40.7%), UNLV (3.2%), San Jose State (2.8%), Arizona (2.3%)
The Skinny: Michigan already possesses a quarterback commit in the 2025 recruiting class in Ft. Myers (Fla.) Bishop Verot’s Carter Smith, but the team still holds the lead for Husan Longstreet, who was offered a day after visiting campus for the first time this past May. It’ll be interesting to see how quarterbacks coach Kirk Campbell and the staff handle position recruiting moving forward in the next cycle, with signal callers like Longstreet showing interest.
On300 IOL Avery Gach, Birmingham (Mich.) Groves
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 202 Overall, No. 11 Interior Offensive Lineman, No. 2 in Michigan
RPM: U-M (81.0%), Michigan State (5.4%), Ohio State (3.7%), Notre Dame (1.6%)
The Skinny: Avery Gach is a must-land for Michigan on the offensive line. The in-state resides less than an hour away from Ann Arbor and made returns for three games in the fall. Offensive line coach Sherrone Moore continues to issue consistent contact with Gach and his family, as this offseason will be pivotal in bringing the mauler back on campus as many times as possible, with Ohio State, Georgia, USC and others also pushing heavily.
Four-Star EDGE Jaylen Williams, Palantine (Ill.) High
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 238 Overall, No. 24 Defensive Lineman, No. 6 in Illinois
RPM: U-M (97.1%)
The Skinny: Michigan began trending for Jaylen Williams following his return visit for the Ohio State game. Lead recruiters Dylan Roney and Mike Elston are making Williams feel at home while he’s in Ann Arbor and have helped propel the Wolverines to the top of the list for the latter, who’s a native of Chicagoland, a region Michigan has landed at least one prospect in every cycle going back to 2019.
Four-Star ATH Xavier Newsom, Detroit (Mich.) King
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 289 Overall, No. 17 Tight End, No. 3 in Michigan
RPM: U-M (85.7%), Toledo (1.5%), Central Michigan (1.3%), Pitt (1.1%)
The Skinny: Xavier Newsom is listed as a tight end on On3. However, Michigan views Newsom’s 6-foot-5 and 220-pound frame potentially at EDGE. The in-stater is a two-way starter for his high school. After competing in the June Big Man Camp and two other offseason events, Newsom visited The Big House twice in the fall for the games against Rutgers and Ohio State.
Four-Star DB Elijah Dotson, Belleville (Mich.) High
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 345 Overall, No. 17 Athlete, No. 6 in Michigan
RPM: U-M (98.3%)
The Skinny: Elijah Dotson started trending to Michigan over the summer just before his return visit for the July barbecue. The Wolverines are going after Dotson’s length, speed, and ball-tracking skills for the secondary, with Clinkscale leading the way. Dotson, who just transferred to Belleville from University of Detroit Jesuit, also attended two games this past season, including the night spectacle against Bowling Green.
Three-Star EDGE Willie Fletcher, Detroit (Mich.) King
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 472 Overall, No. 31 EDGE, No. 9 in Michigan
RPM: U-M (83.9%), Central Michigan (1.8%), Ball State (1.5%), Pitt (1.3%)
The Skinny: Willie Fletcher took advantage of the distance from Ann Arbor to his high school by visiting Michigan four times. His latest visit took place in late September for the Rutgers game. Clinkscale, the area recruiter for the Detroit area, and Roney have been building close relationships with Fletcher.
Three-Star CB Jahmari DeLoatch, Chesapeake (Va.) Oscar Smith
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 496 Overall, No. 56 Cornerback, No. 16 in Virginia
RPM: U-M (99.7%)
The Skinny: Jahmari DeLoatch hadn’t been to a Michigan game prior to his attendance for the Purdue game and he enjoyed the maize and blue carpet treatment from the staff. The Tidewater region star is being recruited to fill the role of Mike Sainristil. The environment around Ann Arbor continues to be comfortable for DeLoatch.

Three-Star Safety Marcus Wimberly, Bauxite (Ark.) High
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 517 Overall, No. 40 Safety, No. 6 in Arkansas
RPM: U-M (99.5%)
The Skinny: Marcus Wimberly was formerly committed to Arkansas but re-opened his recruitment on December 1, less than a week after he visited Michigan. Wimberly and his father drove from Metro Little Rock to Ann Arbor to meet in person with safeties coach Jay Harbaugh. The son of head coach Jim Harbaugh is making Wimberly a priority on the safety board next cycle and is pitching Ann Arbor as a home away from home, which is impressing the hard-hitting defender.
Three-Star WR Shaun Terry, Ironton (Ohio) High
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 528 Overall, No. 84 Wide Receiver, No. 17 in Ohio
RPM: U-M (35.8%), Penn State (31.3%), Marshall (2.4%), Virginia Tech (2.0%)
The Skinny: Shaun Terry is one of the fastest-rising 2025 prospects in the state of Ohio. He was on the radar for Michigan leading up to his visit for the Indiana game in October and left campus with an offer in hand.
Three-Star TE Bear Tenney, Lehi (Utah) High
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 533 Overall, No. 27 Tight End, No. 5 in Utah
RPM: U-M (91.8%), Georgia (1.4%), Ohio State (1.2%)
The Skinny: Bear Tenney flew to Michigan for the first time in early November for the Purdue game, when predictions for the Wolverines to land the tight end started flooding in. Tights coach Grant Newsome believes Tenney is a max of Colston Loveland and AJ Barner. The way U-M utilizes its tight ends has stood out immensely for Tenney, who transferred to Utah after playing in the state of Texas during his first two years of high school.
Three-Star IOL John Mills, San Francisco (Calif.) St. Ignatius College Prep
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 563 Overall, No. 49 Interior Offensive Lineman, No. 49 in California
RPM: U-M (56.8%), Cal (26.0%), UCLA (2.0%), USC (1.7%)
The Skinny: John Mills picked up an offer from Moore in the fall and immediately visited for the win over the Buckeyes. Mills’ first-ever trip to campus occurred for a team-hosted camp earlier in the year. Mills plans to return this offseason for an official visit as Michigan solidified itself as a top contender after his experience at The Big House in November.
Three-Star IOL Tucker Kattus, Cincinnati (Ohio) St. Xavier
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 621 Overall, No. 61 Interior Offensive Lineman, No. 22 in Ohio
RPM: U-M (40.9%), Kentucky (18.7%), Michigan State (16.1%), Arkansas (13.4%)
The Skinny: Tucker Kattus is the son of former Michigan tight end great Eric Kattus and took two unofficial visits to Ann Arbor last year, including two months ago for The Game. The younger Kattus regularly hears from St. Xavier teammate and 2024 defensive lineman signee Ted Hammond about remaining close at the next level. The pair were at The Big House together to see U-M beat Ohio State.
Three-Star LB Justin Rowe, Asheville (N.C.) High
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 619 Overall, No. 56 Linebacker, No. 13 in North Carolina
RPM: U-M (68.3%), Tennessee (2.8%), Appalachian State (2.4%), Charlotte (2.0%)
The Skinny: Justin Rowe made two visits to Michigan this past offseason, including an appearance for the late-July BBQ at The Big House. Former linebackers coach Chris Partridge extended an offer to Rowe. With a defense that yields positionless athletes, Rowe hits the mold of a hybrid linebacker, similar to 2024 signee Jaden Smith, who also played high school football in North Carolina. Rowe is originally from Canada.
Rising WR Quinn Morris, Plainfield (Ill.) East
On3 Industry Ranking: N/A
RPM: U-M (91.3%), Minnesota (8.7%)
The Skinny: Quinn Morris is the younger brother of Michigan wide receiver Tyler Morris. A massive supporter of the program, Quinn made four game-day visits this past season. During the July barbecue, he arrived early and stayed in Tyler’s apartment to receive the full experience inside the facilities. Quinn’s number of unofficial visits to U-M have reached the double-digit mark.
