Two Michigan commits set to compete in bowl games
A pair of pledges on Michigan’s 2024 recruiting class will see their respective high school careers extend beyond the fall.
It was announced Tuesday that On300 Kansas City (Mo.) Rockhurst offensive tackle Andrew Sprague is slated to take part in The All-American Bowl this upcoming January, which takes place inside the Alamodome at the Lone State State.
“I’m really excited to compete at the All American Bowl in San Antonio,” Sprague told The Wolverine. “It has been a dream of mine to play in this game for a long time and I can’t wait to compete.”
The All-American Bowl is a year-round celebration of high school excellence both on and off the field. As the nation’s premier high school sporting event for 20 years, it features the top 100 senior football players from across the country Broadcast annually on NBC, the All-American Bowl is the most-watched and highest-attended high school sporting event.
According to its website, the all-star exhibition has produced 14 of the past 20 NFL Rookie of the Year Award winners, 97 Super Bowl Champions, 217 Pro Bowl selection honorees and 118 NFL Draft first-round picks. Notable alumni include Ndamukong Suh, Odell Beckham Jr., Adrian Peterson, Micah Parsons, Tim Tebow and Trevor Lawrence.
On Tuesday, it was also reported that On300 Bellevue (Wash.) High tight end Hogan Hansen has been selected to fly out to Honolulu, Hawaii, after Christmas to play in the Polynesian Bowl.

The year-round winter showcase has featured Power 5-bound football players who hold both Polynesian and non-Polynesian descent. In the bowl’s early years of existence, it was played at Aloha Stadium, the home of the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors football program. But starting in 2022, the game is now hosted at Kūnuiākea Stadium on the Kamehameha Kapālama campus.
Notable alumni include Michigan interior offensive line early enrollee Amir Herring, Nico Iamaleava and Travis Hunter.
The 13 verbal commits who makeup Michigan’s 2024 recruiting class are ranked No. 5 overall the 2024 On3 Industry National Team Recruiting Rankings and No. 2 in the Big Ten Conference.
Rounding out the class are Top 100 Charlotte (N.C.) Providence Day quarterback Jadyn Davis, Top 100 Rochester (Mich.) Adams tight end Brady Prieskorn, Top 100 Cincinnati (Ohio) Archbishop Moeller running back Jordan Marshall, On300 Austin (Tex.) Vandegrift offensive tackle Blake Frazier, offensive tackle On300 Harper Woods (Mich.) High defensive back Jacob Oden, On300 Nashville (Tenn.) Ensworth linebacker Mason Curtis, consensus four-star Avon (Ohio) High interior offensive lineman Luke Hamilton, three-star Lakewood (Ohio) St. Edward offensive tackle Ben Roebuck, three-star Cincinnati (Ohio) St. Xavier defensive lineman Ted Hammond, three-star Wallingford (Conn.) Choate Rosemary Hall defensive lineman Manuel Beigel and three-star South Park (Pa.) High linebacker Zach Ludwig.
