Where Michigan stands in updated 2024 On3 Consensus national team recruiting rankings
Michigan has jumped to No. 11 in the 2024 On3 Consensus National Team Recruiting Rankings following the February update of the On300 individual ratings and the loss of a verbal commitment from a rival school down the road earlier this week.
The latest change of the top 300 players in the country is the most extensive reshuffling of the junior cycle as season highlights from the 2022 campaign were the main focus for athletes receiving incredible bumps, significant drops, and being included or dropped from the list all together. How the On3 Consensus is now weighted has also changed with the algorithm taking percentages from all four major recruiting services and basing rankings off of past performance data, overall scouting and recruiting coverage investment.
Football rankings are weighted as followed: On3 (35%), 247Sports (35%), Rivals.com (20%) and ESPN (10%).
The Wolverines landed at No. 13 overall back in early-February following the verbal commitment of On300 Harper Woods (Mich.) High defensive back Jacob Oden, who at the time, became the fifth consensus four-star to join the class and the first in-stater. There are now three three-stars and four four-stars, which in total, is the fifth-highest composite in the Top 12 nationally.

On Thursday, five are still well within the Top 400 in the country with Oden holding the highest ranking at No. 164 overall. Two others also found themselves in the On300.
