Michigan head coach Sherrone Moore watches warm up during the spring game at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor on Saturday, April 20, 2024.

Michigan stayed at No. 14 on the 2025 On3 Industry National Team Recruiting Rankings following the verbal commitment of On300 Kilgore (Tex.) High cornerback Jayden Sanders on Saturday.

At 6-foot-2, 175 pounds, Sanders is listed as the No. 234 overall prospect and No. 27 cornerback in the country, according to On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four primary recruiting media services. Williams is also the No. 32 player in Texas.

Michigan defensive backs coach LaMar Morgan and head coach Sherrone Moore led the way in landing Sanders.

“When I looked at the defense, it felt like something I play at my own high school,” Sanders previously told The Wolverine. “I feel like I can come in and play. Coach Morgan likes me as a corner. He likes my length, speed and ball skills. He said my personality fits what they want.”

Sanders visited Michigan for the first time two months ago and later returned for the annual late July BBQ at The Big House.

“It went well,” Sanders said. “I got to see the facilities, tour around campus and talk to more staff members. I came in not knowing what to expect, but they definitely passed my standards. I definitely liked the weight room. I didn’t know it was that big. I liked building relationships with the staff.”

Michigan 2025 Recruiting Class

Following Sanders’ commitment, the overall 2025 recruiting ranking for Michigan (90.581) sits higher than the likes of Oklahoma, Missouri, UCF, Kentucky, Ole Miss, and TCU, among others.
