Where Michigan sits in 2024 On3 Consensus national team recruiting rankings
Michigan stayed put at No. 8 overall in the 2024 On3 Consensus National Team Recruiting Rankings following the verbal commitment of Lakewood (Ohio) St. Edward offensive tackle Ben Roebuck, who became the second Ohio prospect to pledge to the Wolverines in consecutive days.
“Something that Coach Moore has been talking to me about is that he trains all of his offensive lineman to play all five positions,” Roebuck told The Wolverine. “Really, that’s something – I think – not a lot of coaches do. But that’s for a reason. Like, if a guy goes down, they can move one of the starters to that spot and pull someone else up. The flexibility that Michigan has on their offensive line is something that really separates them.”
At 6-foot-7 and 315 pounds, Roebuck is ranked as the No. 593 overall prospect in the country, No. 38 offensive tackle nationally, and No. 20 junior in the state of Ohio, according to the On3 Consensus.
Roebuck has an On3 NIL Valuation of $19.7K with 6,000 combined followers on Instagram, TikTok and Twitter. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
Michigan 2024 Recruiting Class
Before Wednesday, the Wolverines were still ranked in Top 10 in the country for 2024, but are one more commitment away from being the third Power 5 program to reach double digits. The addition of Roebuck brought Michigan to a total score of 91.961, which sits slightly above Tennessee at 91.887, LSU at 91.502, Clemson at 91.464 and Oregon at 91.109.
