Michigan stays put in 2024 recruiting rankings following commitment of DL Deyvid Palepale
Michigan stayed put at No. 16 overall on the 2024 On3 Industry National Team Recruiting Rankings following the verbal commitment of three-star Lancaster (Pa.) Manheim Township defensive lineman Deyvid Palepale, who flipped from USC on Saturday.
“It just felt like a home vibe,” Palepale told The Wolverine last offseason. “My mom really loved it, too. She really liked how Coach Herb (Ben Herbert) transforms guys. Aidan Hutchinson came in looking like a receiver and left how he is now. That stood out to me and my family. She doesn’t have to worry about me eating too much or too little. The biggest thing is reaching my potential, and I think Michigan can do that. If I were to go to Michigan, she wouldn’t have to worry about me leaving the nest.”
At 6-foot-2, 305 pounds, Palepale is listed as the No. 794 overall prospect and No. 78 defensive lineman in the country, per the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four primary recruiting media services. He is also the No. 20 player in Pennsylvania.
Team rankings are determined based on each program’s 17 highest-rated pledges.
