On3 released its updated On300 rankings for the 2025 recruiting class, which saw significant movement for Michigan’s verbal commits and the prospects the reigning national champions are heavily prioritizing.

The Wolverine takes a look at where the U-M targets currently rank after the changes.

Zephyrhills (Fla.) High CB DJ Pickett – Pickett kept his five-star ranking by On3 and also moved up two spots to No. 4 overall. He’s coming off several unofficial visits to Michigan last year, most recently for the Ohio State game in late November. The Wolverines were also added to Pickett’s Top 5 list.

Charlotte (N.C.) Providence Day OT David Sanders – Sanders moved down one spot to No. 6 overall but still kept the five-star ranking. Head coach Sherrone Moore saw Sanders during the January contact period and is actively assisting in bringing over the No. 1 offensive tackle in the country to Michigan, which signed two of Sanders’ teammates in the 2024 class, Jadyn Davis and Channing Goodwin.

Sachse (Tex.) High WR Kaliq Lockett – Lockett experienced one of the biggest jumps after the updated release, going from No. 122 to No. 13 overall. Michigan trails only Texas for Lockett on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM) because of his two trips to Ann Arbor last year, including for the annual late July BBQ at The Big House. Wide receivers coach Ron Bellamy has formed a close bond with Lockett.

Overland Park (Kans.) Blue Valley Northwest OT Andrew Babalola – Babalola is inching closer to a five-star ranking with his move from No. 21 to No. 15 overall. The previous On300 update saw the Great Plains mauler jump over 100 spots. Another elite 2025 offensive tackle who saw Moore visit his school, Babalola is expected to visit Michigan for the first time on March 22.

Goodland (Kans.) High TE Linkon Cure – Cure moved up six spots from No. 42 to No. 36 overall. He has yet to schedule a visit to Michigan, but both Moore and offensive line coach Grant Newsome saw the junior playmaker last month at his school. Now that Newsome has transitioned from tight ends coach, his successor, Steve Casula, has already made contact with Cure, and early impressions of the new assistant are positive.

Elkhart (Ind.) Central EDGE Mariyon Dye – Dye was unranked before this latest On300 update, but he’s since skyrocketed to No. 47 overall. Michigan put an offer on the table for Dye this past November when he appeared at The Big House for the Purdue game. The loss of former pass rush specialist Dylan Roney stung, but Dye has an offer from Wisconsin, the school that new defensive line coach Greg Scruggs worked for last season. There’s an opportunity for Scruggs to get the Wolverines back into the mix this spring.

Milton (Ga.) High WR CJ Wiley – Wiley is also a new member of the Top 100, having gone from No. 207 to No. 98 in the country. The Peach State pass catcher has been on three unofficial visits to Michigan, including in September for the night game against Bowling Green. He also met up with Bellamy at his school during the contact period. Looking ahead, Wiley is eyeing a return to check out a spring camp practice.

The following notable Michigan targets stayed put in the Top 100 – Oradell (N.J.) Bergen Catholic WR Quincy Porter, Conroe (Tex.) High CB Dorian Brew, Oak Park (Ill.) Fenwick EDGE Nathaniel Marshall, Shaker Heights (Ohio) High CB Trey McNutt, and Geneva (Ill.) Community WR Talyn Taylor.

Cleveland Heights (Ohio) High ATH Marquise Davis – Davis’ ranking wasn’t affected by the On300 update as he remained at No. 102 overall nationally. The reigning Gatorade Player of the Year for Ohio had a close relationship with Clinkscale and got to know running backs coach Mike Hart during his Ohio State game visit. Lauded for his explosive two-way attributes, Davis is a must-land out of Ohio for Michigan this cycle.

Columbus (Ohio) Marion-Franklin CB Dawayne Galloway – Galloway fell out of the Top 100, where he was initially at No. 98, but is now at No. 133 overall. Galloway publicly released a Top 12 list on Friday with Michigan added, and is expected to visit a third time this spring. He’s looking forward to meeting new defensive backs coach LaMar Morgan.

Indianapolis (Ind.) Warren Central EDGE Damien Shanklin – Shanklin is nearing the Top 100 as he jumped 30 spots to No. 137 overall. After originally scheduling a visit to The Big House in early November, Shanklin instead saw Michigan beat Ohio State live. Moore also stopped by Shanklin’s school during the contact period, and the latter has a return visit set for March 24.

Denton (Tex.) Ryan OL Marcus Garcia – Garcia moved up over 20 spots from No. 196 to No. 171 overall. Newsome issued an offer to Garcia the first week of the dead period after the former transitioned to his new role on the Michigan coaching staff. Garcia quickly lined up a visit to Ann Arbor for March 24.

Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna CB Chris Ewald – Ewald fell 90 spots after going from No. 91 to No. 181. He has been decommitted from Michigan for well over a month, but his interest in signing with the Wolverines still looms. The loss of multiple coaches from the national title run, including Jim Harbaugh, was a major factor in his decision. Ewald has been on eight unofficial visits to Ann Arbor, so future returns won’t be an issue for him and his family.

Princeton (N.J.) Hun School LB Kamar Archie – Archie also lost his Top 100 ranking because of the update and is now at No. 190 overall. Archie visited Michigan for the first time just before the dead period alongside defensive lineman teammate Kole Briehler. 2024 defensive lineman signee Owen Wafle also attends The Hun School. Newsome is the area recruiter for New Jersey and has built a connection with Archie.

Katy (Tex.) Jordan WR Andrew Marsh – Marsh’s drop in the On300 was one of the most noteworthy, as he went from No. 24 to No. 233 nationally. Another Texas wideout that Bellamy has put high on the board for Michigan this cycle, Marsh was on campus twice last year for the July barbecue and in late May. Bellamy also stopped by Katy Jordan during the January contract period.

Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman OL SJ Alofaituli – Alofaituli fell nearly 200 spots to No. 238 overall after being listed at No. 55 before Monday. A former teammate of Michigan running back signee Micah Ka’apana, Alofaituli saw in-school visits from Moore and Newsome during the January contact period, which followed the junior’s visit to Ann Arbor for the Ohio State game.

Gaithersburg (Md.) Quince Orchard RB Iverson Howard – Howard was at No. 200 overall before the update, but he’s now listed at No. 276. The DMV tailback received early priority status from Hart and has been high on Michigan’s commitment to running the ball. Howard released a Top 10 list in early January, which included the Wolverines, and he’s looking to make a second visit on campus this offseason.

Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy DB Alex Graham – Graham moved down 13 spots to No. 296 in the country. Born and raised in Detroit, Graham has visited Michigan the most out of any school on his offer sheet. Clinkscale was leading the way in this recruitment, but now Graham is planning to make another return for a spring camp practice to meet with Morgan. Graham was last in Ann Arbor at the end of the contact period.

The following Michigan targets were dropped out of the On300 entirely – Columbia (S.C.) Heathwood Hall Episcopal School CB Onis Konanbanny, Rabun Gap (Ga.) Nacoochee TE Marshall Pritchett, East St. Louis (Ill.) High CB Charles Bass, Delran (N.J.) St. Joseph’s DL Maxwell Roy, Austin (Tex.) Lake Travis DL Gus Cordova, Arlington (Tex.) Mansfield Timberview DL Dilan Battle, Birmingham (Mich.) Groves OL Avery Gach, Hyattsville (Md.) DeMatha Catholic RB Bud Coombs, and St. Louis (Mo.) Christian Brothers College WR Corey Simms.
