On3 RPM: Where Michigan stands with remaining 2024 targets
The recruiting board for Michigan in the 2024 class is slight but there are multiple uncommitted prospects who the Wolverines continue to target and prioritize.
With 27 verbal commits in is 2024 recruiting class, including three-star Nappanee (Ind.) Northwood cornerback Jo’Ziah Edmond who pledged on Tuesday, Michigan will look to bolster more names to the group.
The Wolverine takes a look at where Michigan stands with each recruit.
Three-Star Lexington (Ky.) Frederick Douglass CB Jeremiah Lowe
The Skinny: Jeremiah Lowe received two On3 predictions on Monday in Michigan’s favor as the program resets the cornerback board following the loss of Aaron Scott to Ohio State. Edmond’s decision came on the same day that he decommitted from Purdue and Michigan is vying for the same success with Lowe. Ranked as the No. 10 overall prospect in the state of Kentucky, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, Lowe last visited Ann Arbor on March 26 but has kept in close contact with co-defensive coordinator Steve Clinkscale.
Top 100 Burley (Idaho) Senior WR Gatlin Bair
RPM: U-M (70.8%), Oregon (9.0%), TCU (5.9%), Boise State (3.3%)
The Skinny: Gatlin Bair is expected to announce a verbal commitment on August 5. The news comes on the heels of his official visit to Michigan on June 23 which was his first-ever trip to campus. U-M’s coaching staff, including wide receivers coach Ron Bellamy and safeties coach Jay Harbaugh, has done an outstanding job of keeping a solid relationship with Bair, his family and the head coach at Burley. During the open period in July, Bair returned to Boise State for a multi-day unofficial visit. The Broncos are pushing to keep the No. 11 ranked wideout nationally, per the On3 Industry Ranking, in-state.

Top 100 Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna Safety Zaquan Patterson
RPM: Miami (92.2%), U-M (3.0%), Auburn (1.1%)
The Skinny: Zaquan Patterson is trending to the hometown school of Miami with two On3 predictions released for him to remain in South Florida. The Hurricanes have hosted Patterson on seven unofficial visits, most recently on June 7. Since then, Patterson has been to Michigan twice. Both times the 6-foot-0.5, 185-pounder has made the flight to Ann Arbor alongside teammate and Top 100 cornerback commit Chris Ewald Jr. Ranked as the No. 3 overall safety in the country by the On3 Industry Ranking, Patterson and his mother have connected well with Clinkscale and the younger Harbaugh. Ewald also assists by pitching him and Patterson staying teammates at the next level. Patterson hasn’t set a commitment date and plans to return to Michigan for a game this season.
Five-Star St. Louis (Mo.) University WR Ryan Wingo
RPM: Texas (33.6%), Tennesse (19.4%), Notre Dame (14.5%), Georgia (11.8%), Missouri (6.1%), Miami (4.2%), U-M (3.2%)
The Skinny: Ryan Wingo is eyeing a potential commitment on National Signing Day this upcoming December, leaving Michigan time to gain momentum this fall. The Wolverines brought back the nation’s No. 7 overall wide receiver for an official visit on June 9, a return following his appearance for the Michigan State game last year on October 29. There isn’t a true leader on the RPM for Wingo, but there’s still work to do on Michigan’s end. Bellamy and Harbaugh are the primary leaders in this recruitment.
