Michigan reveals uniform combo for Michigan State game
Michigan Wolverines football is back on the road this weekend with a trip to Michigan State on Saturday and have revealed their uniform combo for the game. To counter MSU’s all-black uniforms, the Michigan squad will sport their white jerseys with blue pants and blue accessories.
This is the third time this season that Michigan has sported blue pants after the Bowling Green and Indiana games, both victories. It will be the first time they wear blue pants on the road after sporting the maize pants at Nebraska and white pants at Minnesota. The Wolverines sported the blue accessories during the BGSU game.
This will be the first time that Michigan has worn blue pants on the road since last year’s win at Kinnick Stadium vs. Iowa.
This will be the 15th time in school history that Michigan has worn blue pants, including the seventh time away from the Big House. The Wolverines are 13-1 overall and 6-1 on the road/neutral site with blue pants. The first time U-M wore blue on bottom was in an 18-13 win over Penn State in 2014.

Head coach Jim Harbaugh and the Michigan team leadership council are responsible for choosing the Wolverines’ uniforms, though the head man has the final call.
Michigan is a 24-point favorite over MSU on Saturday but has historically had trouble covering the spread against MSU, going 2-12-1 against the Spartans over the last 15 matchups, and 1-6 on the road covering the spread at Spartan Stadium. However, Michigan is 14-4-1 in its last 19 games played in October, so there’s a chance for a trend reversal for a team that has found its fastball in Big Ten play, covering against all four of its opponents.
Michigan will be looking for its first two-game win streak in the rivalry since the 2018 and 2019 seasons against the Spartans. Michigan is 4-4 against its in-state rival since head coach Jim Harbaugh arrived in 2015 and won last season’s game in Ann Arbor by a score of 29-7. Other victories in the series came in 2016, 2018 and 2019, respectively.
Saturday night’s game kicks off at 7:30 p.m. ET on NBC.
