Michigan transfer portal: Raheem Anderson, Tavierre Dunlap latest to enter
Michigan Wolverines offensive lineman Raheem Anderson will enter the transfer portal, according to On3’s Pete Nakos. The fourth-year player will have one season of eligibility remaining as a graduate transfer.
Anderson played in 16 career games as a Wolverine, mostly as a reserve before having a special teams role this season. He was in the battle for the starting center job in fall camp, but fell behind classmates Greg Crippen and Dominick Giudice in the pecking order.
“First and foremost I’d like to give the utmost gratitude to my lord and savior Jesus Christ for even putting me in this position to be able to play the game of football,” Anderson said on social media. “I’d like to thank the University of Michigan for the best 4 years of my life and experiences that I can never forget. I also want to thank Coach Harbaugh, Coach Moore, Coach Herb, Coach Newsome and the entire coaching staff for pouring into me lessons and teachings that will carry for life. To my teammates, that I can now consider my brothers, I love you guys and am happy that I was able to call you family for thee past four years. I am grateful that I was able to build bonds that will last a lifetime and look forward to seeing everyone succeed in life.
Having graduated from the University of Michigan in May of 2024, three years after my enrollment, and completing my redshirt junior season, I have decided to enter my name into the transfer portal with one year left of eligibility. Forever Go Blue.”
Anderson was a four-star prospect and the No. 346 player in the country in the 2021 class, per the On3 Industry Ranking. He played his high school ball at Cass Technical HS in Downtown Detroit, a consistent pipeline of talent throughout the years.

His classmate, running back Tavierre Dunlap, also is entering the transfer portal. Dunlap had 22 carries for 138 yards in his career, one of which came for 20 yards and his only touchdown in the Maize and Blue this season. He will have one season of eligibility remaining at his next destination.
The departures are the second and third of the offseason for the Michigan program with leading receiver Tyler Morris announcing Tuesday that he would be moving on after three seasons.
Morris lead the Wolverines with 23 catches for 248 yards and 2 touchdowns this season, and his career was defined by a 38-yard touchdown in last year’s 27-20 win over Alabama in the Rose Bowl.
