Michigan vs. Washington availability report released: Two OL starters, EDGE out
The Michigan Wolverines and Washington Huskies meet on Saturday night in Seattle for the first time as Big Ten foes with the conference-mandated availability report released two hours prior to kickoff.
For U-M, it comes with the news that defensive stalwarts Will Johnson (cornerback) and pass rusher Josaiah Stewart (EDGE), along with wide receiver Semaj Morgan are back and expected to play. All of them missed last week’s win over Minnesota after being listed as questionable on last week’s injury report.
However, Michigan is banged up in a big way this week on the offensive line. Myles Hinton and Dom Giudice are out at left tackle and center, respectively. Starting EDGE Derrick Moore will also miss this week’s game.
Here is the full report for Michigan this week, which keeps getting longer.

“I think they’re a really good football team,” Moore said on Monday. “Obviously, it starts with the quarterback on offense. He does a really good job distributing the ball. I don’t think he’s throwing a pick. And they’ve got a lot of yards. The running back’s really good, too. Sound running back can make a miss, can run over you. And on defense, you know, sound defense, you know, they’re going to challenge you. You’re going to play a lot of man coverage, a lot of cover one. So, you know, expect a heavy boxer. We’ve got to do some good things on the outside to go win.”
Even with different faces in both programs, Michigan still wants to live up to its national championship pedigree, and Saturday is another step.
“There’s a high expectation regardless if we won the national championship or not,” he said. “When you’re at Michigan, you want to win every game. When you’re at Michigan, you want to represent this place in a fashion like none other. So, for me, regardless if we won it or not, and obviously we did, there’s a standard that I want to keep that I want us to keep on and off the field. So, the challenges don’t really seem as challenges. They’re just seen as opportunities for us to go grasp and continue on a legacy that we need to.”
Saturday night’s game kicks off at 7:30 p.m. ET on NBC with Washington set as a 1.5-point favorite. Michigan has not lost a regular season game on the road since a 2021 defeat at Michigan State.
