Michigan basketball 2024-25 Big Ten schedule released
Michigan Wolverines basketball has its Big Ten schedule for the 2024-25 season, its first under head coach Dusty May. The conference announced the dates for the 20-game slate Thursday afternoon.
Michigan will open the season with a Nov. 4 game against Cleveland State at Crisler Center, following an Oct. 20 charity exhibition against Oakland in Detroit. That kicks off an 11-game non-conference slate.
In the non-conference, the Wolverines also have Cleveland State (Nov. 4), Wake Forest (Nov. 10 in Greensboro, N.C.), TCU (Nov. 15), Miami Ohio (Nov. 18), Tarleton State (Nov. 21), Virginia Tech (Nov. 25 in Fort Myers, Fla.), South Carolina/Xavier (Nov. 27 in Fort Myers, Fla.), Arkansas (Dec. 10 in New York), Oklahoma (Dec. 18 in Charlotte, N.C.), Purdue Fort Wayne (Dec. 22) and Western Kentucky (Dec. 29).
Michigan’s two early Big Ten games are at Wisconsin Dec. 3 and Iowa at home Dec. 7. The Wolverines will then play 18 more conference tilts from Jan. 4 at USC to early March.
Michigan takes on in-state foe Michigan State at home Feb. 21 and will close out the regular season with the Spartans March 9 in East Lansing. The Maize and Blue will play chief rival Ohio State only once — in Columbus Feb. 16.
The league has four new members this season in Oregon, UCLA, USC and Washington. Michigan will take on Washington (Jan. 12) and Oregon (Feb. 5) at home. The Wolverines will make a trip to Los Angeles for back-to-back road games at USC (Jan. 4) and UCLA (Jan. 7).
