Newsstand: Chris Webber stops by Michigan basketball practice, speaks to team
Tweets Of The Day
Former Michigan basketball legend Chris Webber stopped by the Wolverines’ practice and spoke to the team. He will be honored Saturday night at The Big House, when the Michigan football team takes on in-state foe MSU.
“You guys have a really good group, and we were just talking upstairs about how blessed we were coming through college and having great groups of people around us and really not appreciating it and and didn’t know it,” Webber told the Michigan team. “It’s not for you to think about it too much right now, but just know that your coach, he’s a good dude and he really believes in you.
“When I met him at Nike Camp, he had big nook shaved in the side of his head. And, you know, he looks the same now, and he was killing then. But again, coach, man, it’s an honor, it’s a blessing, and I love you.”
Elite 2024 Michigan quarterback target Jadyn Davis is set to make a visit to Ann Arbor this weekend. This will be his fourth U-M visit since June.

Quote Of The Day
“MSU was considered the leader for Etta for a lot of the offseason. It’s no secret the Spartans have made NIL a focal point this cycle. MSU had flashy cars on his official visit, pitched NIL and boasted about new pass rush specialist Brandon Jordan. Etta, however, saw right through the hype. Michigan defensive line coach Mike Elston is a known and respected developer of talent, and Etta truly values the transformational process offered at U-M. Simply put, U-M is the superior program both on and off the field.”
