Michigan basketball head coach Dusty May is on the recruiting trail watching top targets. He was in Orlando, Fla., for the 2024 NBPA Top-100 Camp located at the ESPN Wide World of Sports at the Walt Disney World campus.

Per On3’s Joe Tipton, May was watching the following players: 2025 Davidson (N.C.) Day three-star point guard Isaiah Denis, 2025 Middle Village (N.Y.) Long Island Lutheran four-star shooting guard Kiyan Anthony, 2025 Washington (D.C.) Gonzaga four-star point guard Nyk Lewis, 2025 Riverside (Calif.) Eleanor Roosevelt combo guard Brayden Burries, 2025 Clearwater (Fla.) Calvary Christian four-star small forward Shon Abaev and 2025 Baltimore (Md.) Sidwell Friends four-star point guard Acaden Lewis.

Michigan defensive coordinator Wink Martindale joined the ‘GM Shuffle’ show and discussed his first several months at U-M and back in the college game, where he hadn’t coached in 20 years.

“[Former Michigan defensive coordinator] Jesse [Minter] told me when I was coming up here, ‘hey — at Michigan, every day is Tuesday.’ At first I was like, what are you talking about? He said, ‘It’s football 24/7,'” Martindale revealed. “If you’re a football freak, you love it. And these kids up here are unbelievable. We were gone recruiting the whole month of May, you’re leaving the office and there’s a group of 10 to 12 guys down there at the Glick [practice facility] working out, working on 1-on-1s, working on technique.

“It’s pretty cool, and it’s really good for the heart of the football purist, to go out and see the work these guys put in. It’ a lot of fun.”

Quote Of The Day

“We talked about a bunch of stuff, but it was mainly about getting down on a personal level. It wasn’t even that much football. It was more about how Michigan works and how he sees me there. It was a great time.”
