Tweets Of The Day
Michigan basketball sent two players to the NBA Draft this summer in Jett Howard (No. 11 to the Orlando Magic) and Kobe Bufkin (No. 15 to the Atlanta Hawks). The Wolverines have had 16 draft picks over the last 10 years, the third-most among any school, tied with UCLA and behind Kentucky (32) and Duke (30).
On Wednesday night, Michigan saw All-American forward Adam Fantilli be drafted No. 3 overall by the Columbus Blue Jackets. On Thursday, fellow forward Gavin Brindley joined him, going No. 34 overall in the early second round.

Brindley discusses what makes Michigan great.
“Ann Arbor is a really special place,” Brindley said at his draft press conference after being selected by the Columbus Blue Jackets. “The people who have come before me — and putting on the maize and blue every night is a memory I’ll never forget. I never want to stop doing it, but unfortunately it’s going to come to a stop at some point. It’s just such an incredible place. I don’t think you have the camaraderie we have at Michigan on other teams. There are so many great athletes and so many great people that want to help you.”
Former Michigan, Arkansas and NFL quarterback Ryan Mallett tragically passed away from drowning earlier this week. Here are some highlights from his incredible performance against Notre Dame in 2007.
Quote Of The Day
“He’s a good communicator. I did ask him some very hard questions (on the official visit) and he answered all of them. I really appreciated that. He always stayed honest with us and I think Jeremiah is in very good hands. Clink is like one of my brothers, really. He was also really good throughout the process. Whenever I had doubts, he turned those doubts into facts. I appreciate him because he tells us the truth, even if the truth isn’t what we want to hear. I like those kind of people.”
