Michigan graduate center Vladislav Goldin was named first-team All-Big Ten by the media and a second-team selection by the coaches, while his front court mate, junior Danny Wolf, was tabbed as a second-teamer by both electors.

More from MGoBlue.com:

Goldin earned a spot on the conference’s first team from media voting and a second-team spot from the coaches. Wolf was named to the second team by both the coaches and the media. In addition to their conference accomplishments, U-M’s “Area 50-1” was honored by the Associated Press, with Wolf earning a spot on the All-Big Ten first team, while Goldin was named to the second team.

Michigan advanced to the Elite Eight in Evan Miya’s bracket simulation.

Announcer pairings have been announced for the NCAA Tournament.

Former Michigan offensive lineman Ben Bredeson signed a three-year, $22 million contract with $12.5 million guaranteed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, with which he spent last season. The news came out earlier this week.

From Tampa Bay Times:
Continuity is king, and the signing is a crowning moment guaranteeing the Bucs offensive line remains intact. Bredeson was the newcomer last year as a free-agent signee from the Giants. He was competing for a starting spot with Sua Opeta until the free agent from the Eagles tore an ACL in training camp.

Bredeson did not disappoint. He played 99% of the offensive snaps (1,128). The Bucs went from the worst rushing offense in the NFL to fourth in rushing yards (2,536 yards) and third in yards per carry (5.2).

“Ben arrived here last season to compete for a starting role and capitalized on that opportunity by establishing himself as an important part of our offensive line,” general manager Jason Licht said.

Quote Of The Day

“I think they have a really good plan for their recruitment. I think they do a really good job of hitting on the school and on the academic side of it. But also, I mean, we know what they’re there to do. They’re there to play football, and they give them a good understanding of what the plan is.”
