Michigan Wolverines basketball has been in touch with Dayton point guard transfer Kobe Elvis, he told 24/7 High School Hoops. Utah, DePaul, Washington State, Virginia Tch, Richmond, Samford, Murray State and UCSB have also contacted Elvis.

The 6-foot-2, 180-pounder began his career at DePaul (2020-21), before transferring to Dayton, where he spent the last three seasons (2022-24). He has one year of eligibility remaining.

Elvis started all 33 games for the Flyers in 2023-24, averaging 9.4 points, 3.5 assists and 2.4 rebounds in 28.5 minutes per game. He shot 38.6 percent on twos (59-of-153), 37 percent on threes (47-of-127) and 84.7 percent on free throws (50-of-59). His 22.5 assist rate during league play ranked 13th in the Atlantic 10 Conference.

Dayton finished the season with a 25-8 record, earning a No. 7 seed in the NCAA Tournament. The Flyers beat No. 10 seed Nevada in the first round before falling to second-seeded Arizona in the second round. Elvis scored 3 points on 1-of-5 shooting from the field and added 5 assists to 2 turnovers in the victory over the Wolfpack. He put up 13 points and 1 assist in the loss to Arizona.

The Brampton, Ont., native used 9.6 ball-screen possessions per game (including passes), the second-highest amount in the Atlantic 10. He generated 0.956 points per possession in those situations, ranking in the 72nd percentile in the nation.

Elvis was also efficient as a spot-up shooter, registering a 72.5 effective field goal percentage on catch-and-shoot jumpers. He only made 30.4 percent of his runners and 47.1 percent of his shots at the rim, per Synergy.

Elvis appeared in 19 games with 17 starts in 2022-23, averaging 8.5 points, 2.9 assists and 2.6 rebounds per contest. He recorded 8.9 points, 2.4 assists and 1.9 rebounds per tilt as a sophomore in 2021-22, playing in 34 outings with 30 starts.

He played in all 19 games with four starts at DePaul in 2020-21, averaging 5.2 points in 20.2 minutes per contest. He had 36 assists and 14 steals, shooting 42.3 percent overall and 41.9 percent on 49 three-point attempts.

An unranked recruit in the 2020 class, Elvis attended Bill Crothers Prep in Markham, Ontario. The Michigan transfer target averaged 26.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 2.8 steals per game as a senior, leading the team to the championship game of the OSBA Final 8 Championships.
