Former Michigan guard Jett Howard was a standout in the Orlando Magic’s first game of the 2K25 NBA Summer League 2024 in Las Vegas. Howard, who’s entering his second season as a professional, finished with 22 points, 4 assists and 2 rebounds in a 106-79 blowout win over the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Howard was red hot right out of the gate, with 16 points, 4 assists, 2 rebounds and 1 steal in 14 first half minutes. That helped lift the Magic to a 62-41 edge at the break. He shot 6 of 10 from the field and 4 of 6 from three-point range for the game.
Howard was the No. 11 overall pick in last year’s draft. He’s one of six former Wolverines to be participating in the Summer League from July 12-22 in Las Vegas.
Yesterday marked 50 days until Michigan football kicks off the 2024 season against Fresno State at The Big House (Aug. 31).
Seventeen current and former Michigan hockey players were invited to NHL Development Camps over the last two weeks.

Quote Of The Day
“Ronald was a great player at Shaw. “He was one of the best players in Shaw history. He went to Michigan and did well. He can tell his own story, and it’s legitimate. Those kids liked him. It’s hard not to like him. They went up there and visited, and they liked it. It’s that simple. They just connected. Ronald can recruit, now (laughs). He worked his magic.”
