Former Michigan basketball guard Jordan Poole and former Michigan State Spartan Draymond Green got into it at Golden State Warriors practice, and the latter, known as a dirty player across the league, struck the Wolverine.

From The Athletic:

There was a physical altercation at the Warriors’ practice Wednesday morning that has the team seriously considering disciplinary action toward Draymond Green, sources with knowledge of the incident told The Athletic.

When a heated interaction with guard Jordan Poole escalated, Green forcefully struck Poole and needed to be separated swiftly, sources said. Green and Poole came chest-to-chest, with both players pushing and shoving each other prior to Green’s escalation of the physical altercation, those sources said.

The Warriors stopped practice and tried to settle nerves in the team’s locker room area, but it appears that internal discipline is imminent.

Michigan junior running back Blake Corum has been the Wolverines’ top offensive player this season, and he’s the nation’s leading scorer with 10 touchdowns and 60 points. Corum’s 10 touchdown rushes are just one shy of his total from all of last season.

Before former Nebraska coach Scott Frost was fired after Week 2, he and Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh both agreed to play for a trophy put up by Barstool Sports’ Bussin’ With The Boys podcast hosted by former Nebraska linebacker Will Compton and former U-M offensive lineman Taylor Lewan. Whether or not the trophy would still be involved in the game was in question following Frost’s firing, but it looks like it will indeed happen.

Michigan is now trending for four-star big man Papa Kante, with On3’s Jamie Shaw giving the Wolverines a 75 percent chance to land the talented product.

Michigan head coach Juwan Howard made Kante a priority from the start,” Shaw wrote. “He took a personal interest in the big man, and it has made an impression. The visit went well, and the style of play and development intrigues Kante.”

Michigan Quote Of The Day

“When I think about that … you want your daughters to marry who you are, and that’s Blake Corum, in my opinion. I love the kid. We do have a special relationship. But I don’t want anyone touching my daughters, talking to my daughters. Blake Corum —  he can do what he wants. My four-year-old says, ‘When ‘Bwake’ coming to the house?’”
