The 6-foot-2 guard played in 20 games with 19 starts as a freshman, averaging 16.9 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game. He shot 54.3 percent from the field and 54-of-103 (52.4 percent) on three-pointers.
Campbell scored in double figures in 17 games last season, including posting a career-high 41 points while shooting 7-of-11 on threes in a 135-101 win over Lilac City Dec. 8.
Prior to attending North Idaho, Campbell went to Elite Prep in Seattle, Wash., his hometown.
Michigan head coach Juwan Howard has added three transfers this offseason in graduates Nimari Burnett, Tray Jackson and Olivier Nkamhoua. By all accounts, the group has fit in well so far.

“With the new guys, they’ve been watching us,” sophomore point guard Dug McDaniel said on a recent episode of ‘Defend The Block.’ “They watched us last year. And I could tell that their mindset is feeding off of ours. They’re coming in gritty. We’re all leading each other. The new guys have been very vocal — [more] than I expected. Olivier has been very vocal, Nimari, Tray. It feels like they’ve been here before.
“We’re just already building that family atmosphere and that leadership atmosphere to where we can all hold each other accountable. We don’t have to count on one person to lead the team or hold each other accountable — we can all hold each other accountable. If we keep that up and keep that going into the season, we’ll give ourselves a very great chance.”
Michigan began preseason workouts last month. All three transfers joined, but Nkamhoua has departed to train for and participate in the FIBA World Cup as part of the Finnish national team.
