Newsstand: Updated Big Ten Tournament bracket ahead of quarterfinals

Tweets Of The Day
The Big Ten Tournament quarterfinals are set, after an entertaining Thursday in Indianapolis.
The matchups are as follows:
• Michigan State vs. Oregon — noon ET on Big Ten Network
• Wisconsin vs. UCLA — around 2:30 p.m. ET on Big Ten Network
• Maryland vs. Illinois — 6:30 p.m. ET on Big Ten Network
• Michigan vs. Purdue — around 9 p.m. ET on Big Ten Network
Michigan is the last team to take the floor for the first time in the tournament. The Wolverines are 1-1 against Purdue, but have a minus-25 point margin against the Boilermakers, having lost in West Lafayette by 27 and won by two in Ann Arbor.
Michigan head coach Dusty May caught up with MSTV’s Ed Kengerski to preview the Big Ten Tournament. The Wolverines practiced at ‘The Factory’ in Indianapolis a day before taking the court.
“Look around the country, and you study the recent success of teams,” May said. “A lot of them went through a stretch like we did late in their seasons. And it’s the teams that can respond, regroup and find a way to knock down some shots with a high level of confidence.

“You have to have a really sound mindset that you’re not gonna beat yourself and make mistakes. And you have to play with confidence and not beat yourself. You can’t shoot yourself in the foot with turnovers, you can’t have unnecessary fouls, where you put your better players on the bench. And it’s just like any other game. It’s 40 minutes long. The team that stays together, weathers storms and makes shots when they need to, they’re gonna win.”

Quote Of The Day
“I don’t think we were intentional enough at creating an environment of physicality every day, whether it’s pads. Everything we did should’ve had — there’s just no freedom of movement — just getting bodies and bodies all the time. We didn’t prepare ourselves well enough. But also, we’re not built that way. We have a lot of guys that are very skilled and they’re finesse by nature, so it’s not like we recruited to it, either. We got the best players we could in a small window. But overall, we laid a really strong foundation. We learned a lot. I learned an incredible amount.”
