Former Michigan cornerback Jourdan Lewis re-signed with the Dallas Cowboys heading into his ninth season in the league.

From Bleacher Report:

According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, Ian Rapoport, Mike Garafolo and Peter Schrager, cornerback Jourdan Lewis is signing a three-year, $30 million contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars that includes $20 million fully guaranteed following his eight-year run with the Cowboys.

Rapoport noted that Monday’s deal makes Lewis the highest-paid nickel cornerback in the NFL. He will reportedly be making $12.5 million in the first year of his new contract.

Lewis appeared in 16 games in 2024 and recorded a career-high 71 total tackles while adding eight passes defended, an interception, a sack, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. He appeared in at least 15 games in seven out of his eight seasons in Dallas after entering the league as a third-round pick in the 2017 NFL draft.

Michigan forward Michael Hage, a Mississauga, Ont., native, has been named a finalist for the Big Ten Hockey Freshman of the Year award. Hage is second on the Wolverines with 34 points (13 goals, 21 assists), behind only T.J. Hughes (38 points — 15 goals, 23 assists).

Quote Of The Day

“It’s been a blessing. From the time I got to Michigan, I had a passion of football, and I wanted to help the team win a national championship. I also had a goal of coaching some day. I knew I was an older guy, and whatever happened with my football career playing was going to happen. Afterwards, I wanted to become a coach, and that’s why I came here — to learn from [former Michigan head] Coach [Jim] Harbaugh, [current head man] Coach [Sherrone] Moore. Eventually down the line, it worked out and I became a coach here, so I’m super blessed and excited for the opportunity.”
