Michigan basketball head coach Dusty May stopped by a fraternity house this week to ensure he has the support of the student body ahead of his first season with the Maize and Blue.
May spoke to Michigan students, saying, “You guys have a direct impact on whether we win or not. Teams that have great student sections don’t lose at home. If you guys are with us, I promise you, we’ll be hanging banners soon.”
A look at the matchup between Michigan and Texas. Both are two of the winningest schools in college football history, with the Wolverines leading the way and Texas ranking tied for fourth.
Michigan leads Texas in College Football Playoff appearances (3 to 1), national championships (12 to 4), conference championships (45 to 33) and Heisman Trophy winners (3 to 2).
Michigan senior EDGE Josaiah Stewart had 2 sacks and 4 quarterback pressures in the 30-10 season opening win over Fresno State. He also tied for the team’s lead with 5 tackles, 2 of which were solo. Stewart made his first career start as a Wolverine, as well.

Quote Of The Day
“We all get frustrated at times, but you still have a responsibility to lead in a positive manner and just to keep going because people are going to be looking at you. How do you respond when things aren’t maybe going as well as you would like them to go personally? We did talk about that, and I’m very happy and pleased with the way he’s responded to that. He’s like, ‘no coach, you got it. You’re right. And he’s a consummate team guy. There’s nobody in this building that is worried about Donovan Edwards.”
