The offseason is in full swing for Michigan Wolverines football, and spring ball is right around the corner. It’s expected to be an interesting several months until the Wolverines kick off the 2022 season, after winning 12 games and the Big Ten in 2021. A quarterback battle and replacing plenty of production on defense are two of the top storylines. The Maize and Blue have seen multiple reserves transfer out and others head to the NFL Draft, while some Wolverines have announced their return.

As of Feb. 14, 2022, at 8 a.m. ET, Michigan is at 90 scholarships, but must get down to 85 by the time fall camp begins ahead of the Sept. 3 season-opener against Colorado State.

Players can use their extra year of eligibility that granted all players from the 2020 season — like Brad Hawkins and Andrew Vastardis did this past season — but unlike the 2021 campaign, they will count against the scholarship count for the 2022 campaign.

TheWolverine.com has updated our Michigan football scholarship chart, and will continue to each time there is movement on the roster. It’s important to note that, while we may expect certain players to depart, they’ll be included in the chart until they officially do so.
